Please read this document carefully — it governs your use of our website, your data, and any payments made through our platform.
Effective Date: June 2026 · Marcus Events Place Limited, organiser of the 2026 Abia Rising Festival
Welcome to the official website of the 2026 Abia Rising Festival, operated by Marcus Events Place Limited ("Marcus Events Place," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, including any registration, sponsorship application, vendor booking, store purchase, or volunteer sign-up made through this platform.
By accessing or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website immediately.
By creating an account, submitting a form, or making a payment on this website, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or are using the platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Continued use of the website after any update to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes connected with the 2026 Abia Rising Festival — including registration, sponsorship, vendor booking, merchandise purchase, volunteering, and general inquiries. You agree not to:
Certain features — including sponsor applications, vendor bookings, and volunteer registration — require you to create an account. You must provide accurate and current information and verify your email address before your account becomes fully active. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
All payments made on this platform — including sponsorship fees, vendor space fees, and merchandise purchases — are processed securely through Paystack, a licensed third-party payment processor. We do not store your card details on our servers.
All prices displayed are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Marcus Events Place Limited reserves the right to update pricing for sponsorship tiers, vendor packages, and store products at any time; such changes will not affect orders already confirmed and paid for.
We understand that plans can change. If you wish to cancel a sponsorship, vendor booking, or merchandise order and request a refund, please note the following:
To process any approved refund, the following non-refundable deductions apply to the original payment amount before the balance is returned to you:
| Charge | Rate | Applied To |
|---|---|---|
| Service Charge | 10% | Original payment amount |
| VAT (Value Added Tax) | 7.5% | Original payment amount |
Example: If you paid ₦500,000 for a Gold sponsorship package and request a full refund before the festival, a combined 17.5% (₦87,500) will be deducted to cover the service charge and VAT, and you will receive ₦412,500.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing via our Contact Us page at least 14 days before the festival start date. Requests made after this window, or after the sponsored/vendor space has already been allocated and publicised, will not be eligible for a refund. Approved refunds are processed within 10–14 business days back to the original payment method.
Sponsorship and vendor packages are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon successful payment confirmation. Benefits listed under each tier (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze) are subject to availability and may be adjusted by Marcus Events Place Limited where circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g. venue restrictions, weather, regulatory changes) make a specific benefit impractical to deliver; in such cases, a reasonably equivalent benefit will be substituted.
Vendors are solely responsible for the legality, safety, and quality of the products and services they sell at the festival. Marcus Events Place Limited reserves the right to revoke any vendor or sponsor space, without refund, in cases of fraud, counterfeit goods, or conduct that endangers attendees or damages the festival's reputation.
Volunteer registration is free of charge and does not constitute an employment relationship between you and Marcus Events Place Limited. Volunteers are assigned roles and schedules at the sole discretion of the festival organising committee. We reserve the right to decline or withdraw a volunteer placement at any time, including for reasons of capacity, conduct, or scheduling conflicts.
